TRB will conduct a webinar on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM ET that discusses two new tools designed by the Long Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) Program: the LTPP Climate and LTPPBind Online tools. The LTPP Climate Tool offers users access to climate data derived from NASA’s Modern Era Retrospective-Analysis for Research and Applications (MERRA) database for applications including climate research, infrastructure design, management, and research, crash studies and more. The LTPPBind Online tool helps state transportation departments select the most suitable performance graded binder for asphalt concrete pavement at a particular site based on American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials standards. This webinar will discuss the background research that went into each tool and will provide a series of demonstrations of the software.
This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Pavement Condition Evaluation and the Standing Committee on Pavement Structural Modeling and Evaluation.
