TRB will conduct a webinar on Thursday, November 15, 2018, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM ET that features research from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP)’s Research Report 881: Traffic Control Devices and Measures for Deterring Wrong-Way Movements.

This webinar will provide an overview of the research regarding traffic control devices that may be used to deter wrong-way movements. The presenter will discuss her research on inconsistences in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) regarding wrong-way movement signing and markings at non-signalized divided highway crossings. The presenter will describe the nature of wrong-way crashes on divided highways. She will also identify the effects of median width and various traffic control devices upon wrong-way crashes on high-speed highways and offer suggestions for future research.

Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar.  Sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information.
