Transportation lighting has changed dramatically over the past decade. TRB is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, March 31, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Eastern that will provide guidelines for new designs of roadway lighting. Presenters will focus on applications of solid-state lighting (SSL), which uses lower energy, reduces maintenance, and can be easily controlled. Presenters will describe how to use SSL in tunnels and underpasses, as well as in work zones. They will also explore operation and maintenance of SSL and discuss their environmental impacts.

This webinar draws on research from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Research Report 940: Solid-State Roadway Lighting Design Guide.

Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar. Sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information.
