How can transit-oriented development (TOD) shape urban development? TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 11:00 AM -12:30 PM Eastern that examined TOD effects. Presenters reviewed transit’s historical, contemporary, and future role in urban development. They also discussed the impacts of TOD on travel behavior, real estate prices, residential location, urban form, and community life. Finally, presenters identified policy issues and decision-support tools of TOD planning as well as technologies to assist in TOD further development.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Economic Development and Land Use.

The first 60 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.
