There is often a disparity between the goals that state departments of transportation have for priced managed lanes and the public assumption for those goals. The public tends to be skeptical of priced managed lanes because the concept is difficult to explain to a non-technical audience. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that described agency experiences about implementing priced managed lanes. Presenters provided specific case examples and lessons learned.
This webinar was sponsored by the TRB Standing Committee on Managed Lanes. It will also feature research from NCHRP Synthesis Report 559: Emerging Challenges to Priced Managed Lanes.
