Building Information Modeling (BIM) can be a useful tool for infrastructure projects. TRB will host a webinar on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 PM Eastern that will discuss the potential return on investment (ROI) agencies may see by using BIM. Presenters will identify common use cases of BIM and determine its benefits and costs. They will discuss tools agencies can use to adopt BIM, including a new ROI tool to calculate the benefits.

This webinar features research from TRB’s project TFRS-02: Lifecycle BIM for Infrastructure: A Business Case for Project Delivery and Asset Management

The first 90 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify how to implement BIM within their organizations
  2. Discuss ROI of using BIM for infrastructure

Professional Development Hour Information

Professional engineers (PEs) who register and attend the entire webinar as an individual will be awarded 2.0 Professional Development Hours (PDHs). TRB’s webinar program awards PDH credits only to the registered individual, and not to other members of a group that view the webinar together. To be eligible for the credits, individuals must remain signed in for the entire webinar, including for any question and answer session following the presentations.

Please check with your licensing board to ensure that TRB webinar PDHs are approved by your board.
