TRB Webinar: Enhancing Public Health Equity Through Transportation

As transportation professionals, we know transportation plays an important role in public health equity within our communities. TRB will host a webinar on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 2:00 – 3:30 PM Eastern that will provide perspectives from state, metropolitan, and municipal levels to better integrate transportation and health equity. The webinar will explore how these transportation providers use health equity to frame planning strategies, and to evaluate and prioritize projects.

This webinar is sponsored by the TRB Standing Technical Committees on Health and Transportation, Community Resources and Impacts, and Equity.

Registration is free for employees of TRB sponsors as well as Titanium and Cobalt Global Affiliates. The registration rate for all other attendees is $60.   • Health equity considerations in citywide land use and transportation plan (Denver Moves Everyone 2050) – Taylor Phillips, City and County of Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure
  • Question and answer session moderated by Kelly Rodgers, Streetsmart

The first 60 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Use health equity as a means to frame community livability issues
  • Develop policy-relevant and policy-sensitive health equity indicators
  • Prioritize projects using health equity evaluation criteria
