Slurry seals, scrub seals, and tack coats are a means to pavement preservation, extending service life, and overall performance. However, there is no nationally accepted guidance on their construction. TRB will host a webinar on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Eastern that will present findings from a recent study and construction guide specifications that have been developed to help agencies fill gaps in existing construction specifications. The construction guides that will be shared by the presenters are currently in review by the AASHTO Committee on Materials and Pavements.
This webinar is based on NCHRP Project 14-44: Guide Specifications for the Construction of Slurry Seals, Scrub Seals, and Tack Coats.
This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Standing Technical Committee on Pavement Preservation.
Registration is free for employees of TRB sponsors as well as Titanium and Cobalt Global Affiliates. The registration rate for all other attendees is $100.
