TRB conducted a webinar on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm ET that featured research conducted by TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP). This research provided an overview of two Legal Research Digests prepared for the airport industry. This webinar was geared toward regulatory officials, policy makers, and attorneys in the field who would like information about grant compliance and standards for commercial aeronautical activities.

Participants must register in advance of the webinar, and there is no fee associated with this webinar.

This webinar provided 1.5 Continuing Education Units for Accredited Airport Executives. This webinar has met approval by the American Institute of Certified Planners for 1.5 Certification Maintenance Credits. TRB also offered 1.25 CLE credits for this webinar.

  2. ACRP Legal Research Digest (LRD) 11, Survey of Minimum Standards: Commercial Aeronautical Activities at Airports
    • Source material for adopting and enforcing minimum standards that airport owners and operators commonly impose on commercial aeronautical activities
    • Current practices in the area of minimum standards
  3. Question and answer session

The first 60 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.


Learning Objectives
At the end of this webinar, participants were able to:
  • Understand how the Airport Sponsor Assurances apply to limitations on access at general aviation airports
  • Understand how minimum standards apply to commercial aeronautical activities, and how they may be adopted and enforced

Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits 
TRB is offering 1.25 CLE credits for this webinar. TRB did not seek approval for the above listed workshop from the state board, so we advise that you contact your state board prior to registering for the webinar to see if credits would be accepted. Registered webinar attendees who sign in and view the entire webinar will receive a link to a certificate that they can fill out and provide to their board. Complete a certificate for each state in which you are required to file. Rules for CLE in some states require the provider to file attendance with the regulator as a service to lawyers. Please confirm jurisdictional reporting requirements with the state regulator. This certificate should be filed with the appropriate MCLE Board(s) or Commission(s) within 30 days of activity. Introductory remarks, keynote addresses, business meetings, breaks, receptions, etc., are not included in the computation of credit. TRB will retain a copy of your attendance; however, TRB is not required to submit attendance to the board.

To report your CM credits, visit www.planning.org/cm
1. Login using your ID# and password
2. Select My CM log
3. Select Add Credits
4. Under Browse you have the option of searching by Date, Provider, or Distance Education and using the search box to type in the name of the event or activity and clicking go
5. A pop-up box will appear. If this is a multi-part event you will have the option to select from a list of activities
6. Please rate, add a comment (optional), and click on the Ethics statement and answer
7. Click submit and the CM credits should appear in your CM log
