TRB has released the Highway Capacity Manual, Seventh Edition: A Guide for Multimodal Mobility Analytics (HCM7). TRB’s fundamental reference for concepts, performance measures, and analysis techniques, the manual offers methods for evaluating the multimodal operation of streets, highways, freeways, and off-street paths. TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 that provided an overview of new methods in HCM7, highlighted new research integrated into the latest version of the manual, and explored how the new methods impact practitioners.

This is the first of a three-part series on the new HCM7. Part 2 was held on July 14, 2022 and covered new facilities and systems methods in HCM7 in the series, and Part 3 in the series was held on August 3, 2022 and addressed new multimodal methods in the manual.

This webinar is sponsored by the TRB Standing Technical Committee on Highway Capacity and Quality of Service.

The slides and recording are available.
