Details

Portland cement concrete pavement joint sealing material technology has evolved in recent decades. TRB National Cooperative Highway Research Program’s NCHRP Synthesis 568: Portland Cement Concrete Pavement Joint Sealant Practices and Performance helps to establish a standardized approach to joint sealant evaluation by sharing the current state-of-practice from state departments of transportation. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that provided key information and presented best practices for developing an effective joint sealing in concrete pavements. Presenters explored the needs and benefits as well as the circumstances where sealing joints is warranted.

This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Standing Technical Committees on Pavement Maintenance, Pavement Preservation, and Concrete Pavement Construction and Rehabilitation.

The slides are available. Please contact trbwebinar@nas.edu for a link to the recording. There may be a $90 fee.
