Is ferry electrification a means to help support private ferry operations? Fuel is one of the greatest operational costs, leaving some private ferry companies struggling to survive. TRB will host a webinar on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that will explore ferry electrification programs and installations in Greece, Maine, and North Carolina and feature three case studies on the benefits and challenges of ferry electrification as a means to improve the environmental footprints and cost of operation. Presenters will share about implementation and essential components, funding sources, and recommendations for public engagement.
This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s Standing Technical Committees on Marine Environment and Ferry Transportation.
Registration is free for employees of TRB sponsors as well as Titanium and Cobalt Global Affiliates. The registration rate for all other attendees is $100. Sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information. Contact Patrice Davenport to inquire about becoming a TRB sponsor or global affiliate organization.
A recording will be sent to all registrants after the webinar.
