Bridge life-cycle and performance under earthquakes is critically impacted by the effects of climate change phenomena such as scour, sea level rice, tsunamis, and permafrost degradation. TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that discussed the impacts and mitigation of climate change effects on the ability of bridges to resist seismic demands. Presenters provided strategies and recommendations to address impacts.
This webinar was based on Special Report 290: Potential Impacts of Climate Change on U.S. Transportation.
