The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has increased transportation investments and accountability in reaching broad goals, such as carbon reduction, safety, and accessibility. Those tasked with accomplishing these goals must assess their programs and investments. TRB will host a webinar on Monday, September 9, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that shared effective practices by transportation agencies to assess the effectiveness of investments and performance-based planning practices. Programs like Virginia’s SMART SCALE and the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Accelerating Innovative Mobility (AIM) and Integrated Mobility Innovation (IMI) are structured to meet overarching goals while leveraging data and evaluation. Presenters reflected on their progress in measuring the range of outcomes of their programs, highlight innovative methods, and discuss lessons learned.
This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Standing Technical Committee on Performance Management.
The slides are available. Please contact trbwebinar@nas.edu for a link to the recording. There may be a $90 fee.
