As airports increasingly face the risk of energy service disruptions along with higher demand and costs, a strategic roadmap is critical. An airport-specific roadmap helps directors assess their current energy use, supply, and vulnerabilities; set clear goals and actionable strategies in collaboration with stakeholders to strengthen energy resilience; and prioritize these strategies within broader airport planning frameworks, including funding plans. TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that provided an overview of the research and steps involved in developing an airport energy resilience roadmap. Presenters provided an overview of ACRP Research Report 260: Airport Energy Resilience Roadmap, how to get started with establishing baseline conditions, and current energy resiliency efforts.
This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program.
The slides are available. Please contact trbwebinar@nas.edu for a link to the recording.
