TRB will conduct a webinar on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM ET that features research from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP)’s Research Report 879: Optimal Replacement Cycles of Highway Operations Equipment.

This webinar will introduce the project development process, including the factors relevant for determining optimal replacement cycles using life-cycle cost analysis, the data and information needed to perform equipment life-cycle cost analysis, and the approaches and processes involved in equipment replacement decisions. The panelists will discuss how the Excel-based analysis tool, available on the report webpage, and replacement process can help determine replacement priorities, project long-range replacement budget needs, and assess the financial consequences of keeping equipment units in the fleet past their economic life. The panelists will also demonstrate the functionality of the tool using real-world state department of transportation data.

Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar.  Sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information.
