How quickly can airport staff respond to aviation incidents that result in injuries or deaths? TRB is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM ET that will explain how airports can efficiently provide aid to victims and their loved ones. The webinar will discuss airport emergency working groups (EWGs) as a collaborative arrangement to providing more effective and rapid assistance. Airport EWGs are partnerships between airports, airlines, and other organizations that train and mobilize volunteers to help take care of victims and their families. Presenters will describe case examples to illustrate EWGs and other alternative methods for providing family assistance during the hours before the airline’s care team arrives.
This webinar draws on research from ACRP Synthesis Report 99: Airport Emergency Workgroups at Airports.
This webinar is sponsored by the Airport Cooperative Research Program. There is no fee to attend this webinar; however, sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information.
