The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has resulted in a decline in transportation revenues and a slow rebound in transit ridership. Thus, there has been an increased interest in urban congestion pricing to ease congestion, encourage alternate modes, and generate revenue. TRB will host a webinar on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 1:00-3:00 PM Eastern that will describe current congestion pricing programs, including through existing U.S. Federal Highway Administration (USFHWA) programs and those that are under reauthorization consideration. Presenters will discuss approaches to congestion pricing in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. They will address the impact of pricing programs on congestion management, equity consideration, and transit service coordination. Additionally, presenters will identify implementation approaches, how to secure stakeholder buy-in, and how to conduct public outreach.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Economics, Revenue, and Finance.

Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar. Sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information.
