Environmental justice has historically been a challenge in the transportation industry. TRB hosted a webinar on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 1:00-2:30 PM Eastern that highlighted case studies focused on serving communities affected by past environmental injustice. Presenters discussed several communities displaced or cut off from economic opportunities due to highway construction. They also provided solutions that can restore, revitalize, and reconnect the affected communities.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Technical Committee on Equity in Transportation.
