Light emitting diode (LED) technology has revolutionized the lighting industry. TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 1:00-2:30 PM Eastern that presented the results of research that studied the link between LED roadway lighting and the health of drivers’ sleep and alertness. Presenters addressed the possibility of increased safety through improved visibility, as well as questions about effects on drivers.

This webinar will feature research from NCHRP Research Report 968: LED Roadway Lighting: Impact on Driver Sleep Health and Alertness.
