For many bus riders in the United States, the journey to access and the wait at the bus stop are experiences that may inhibit their ability or desire to take the bus. TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, September 21, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Eastern that highlighted bus stop and pedestrian infrastructure improvement programs by transit agencies and their partners. Presenters illustrated how agencies prioritize bus stops for improvements, discussed program leadership and funding, and described relationships with other public and private entities. They also explained how to leverage available opportunities for improved infrastructure.
The webinar features research from TCRP Synthesis Report 152: Transit Agency Relationships and Initiatives to Improve Bus Stops and Pedestrian Access.
The slides and recording are available.
