As extreme weather becomes more frequent, pavement resilience is a critical consideration for highway and transportation engineers. TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that discussed the resilient aspects of asphalt pavements. Presenters explored the Federal Highway Administration’s approach to pavement resilience and highlight recent innovations. They also provided case studies from storms, floods, and other extreme weather events to inform stakeholders how to prepare for climate change needs to help transportation engineers create a more resilient transportation network.
This webinar is sponsored by the TRB Standing Technical Committees on Design and Rehabilitation of Concrete Pavements and on Design and Rehabilitation of Asphalt Pavements.
