TRB Webinar: Implementing Subsurface Utility Engineering at State DOTs

Utilities can cause delays to transportation projects. Proper and timely implementation of subsurface utility engineering (SUE) can assist in reducing those delays. TRB will host a webinar on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Eastern that will explore state department of transportation (DOT) practices for SUE and highlight findings from a recent synthesis study. Presenters will also share the newly revised American Society of Civil Engineers standard guideline for investigating and documenting existing utilities (ASCE 38).

This webinar is based on NCHRP Synthesis Report 583: Implementation of Subsurface Utility Engineering for Highway Design and Construction.

This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s National Highway Cooperative Research Program and the Standing Technical Committee on Utilities.

Registration is free for employees of TRB sponsors as well as Titanium and Cobalt Global Affiliates. The registration rate for all other attendees is $100. Sign into to view registration information. Contact Patrice Davenport to inquire about becoming a TRB sponsor or global affiliate organization.

A recording will be sent to all registrants after the webinar.
