Federal transportation performance management (TPM) requirements were signed into law in the early 2010s.  Following robust efforts by transportation agencies nationwide, the first four-year cycle of implementation concluded. While the federal TPM requirements created greater consistency and transparency, challenges remain. TRB will host a webinar on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that will reflect on lessons learned by state departments of transportation (DOTs), metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), and transit agencies. Put these lessons to use as you look ahead to the next decade.

This webinar is sponsored by the TRB Standing Technical Committees on Performance Management and Transit Management and Performance.

Registration is free for employees of TRB sponsors as well as Titanium and Cobalt Global Affiliates. The registration rate for all other attendees is $100. Sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information. Contact Patrice Davenport to inquire about becoming a TRB sponsor or global affiliate organization.

A recording will be sent to all registrants after the webinar.

Webinar agenda and presenters

  • Perspectives from a state DOT – Deanna Belden, Minnesota DOT
  • Perspectives from an MPO – Keith Miller, North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority
  • Perspectives from a transit operator – Jordan Holt, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority
  • Question and answer session moderated by Mshadoni Smith-Jackson, Federal Highway Administration

The first 60 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.
