Urban Air Mobility (UAM) is an emerging transportation approach that has the potential to significantly transform transportation systems. Understanding the impacts and opportunities of UAM for airports is crucial to proactively prepare for the integration of this technology, address challenges, and seize the benefits that UAM can offer. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that provided airport industry practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of the emerging UAM industry, potential impacts, and opportunities for airports. Presenters shared valuable insights and explore the benefits and considerations in implementing UAM services for safe and efficient operations.
This webinar was based on ACRP Research Report 243: Urban Air Mobility: An Airport Perspective and ACRP Research Report 236: Preparing Your Airport for Electric Aircraft and Hydrogen Technologies.
This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program.
The slides and recording are available.
