Highly modified asphalt (HiMA) binders are engineered to provide lasting performance in asphalt mixtures subjected to demanding traffic loading and environmental conditions. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that described the development of HiMA, including the applications at the National Center for Asphalt Technology. Presenters discussed Florida Department of Transportation’s (DOT) applications over the past decade and a more recent introduction and use by Utah DOT.
