Post-World War II houses, subdivisions, and commercial properties are being considered for eligibility for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Additional guidance is needed for determining eligibility for commercial properties that stand alongside suburban and exurban roadways. TRB will host a webinar on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that will aid practitioners in evaluating the potential significance of postwar commercial properties for National Register eligibility in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. Presenters will share the findings from NCHRP Report 1067: Postwar Commercial Properties and Section 106: Piloting the Methodology for Evaluating Historic Significance.
This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Standing Technical Committee on Historic and Archeological Preservation in Transportation.
Registration is free for employees of TRB sponsors as well as Titanium and Cobalt Global Affiliates. The registration rate for all other attendees is $100.
