Advancements in generative AI are transforming how transportation agencies engage with the public and manage communications. TRB will host a webinar on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM Eastern that will explore emerging trends in the use of generative AI to support communication strategies, streamline public involvement, and enhance agency workflows. Presenters will discuss responsible use frameworks, share practical case studies, and lead interactive demonstrations that highlight AI’s potential.

The first 60 minutes of the webinar were for presentations and the final 30 minutes were reserved for audience questions.
 
Learning Objectives
At the end of this webinar, participants can:

  • Develop a responsible use framework for the use of generative AI by transportation communicators and agencies
  • Understand and mitigate risks associated with the use of generative AI in day-to-day applications
  • Use AI for simple communications applications like PowerPoint development and other writing needs
