Transportation practitioners and decision makers alike can use TRB’s planning “snapshots” to develop, implement, and advance programs for Complete Streets, data sharing, freight delivery, and economic analysis. TRB hosted a webinar on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that went through the process of creating concise summaries of current practices across these four topics by conducting and synthesizing practitioner surveys. Presenters shared findings from the snapshots, explained how the maturity-level spectrum can help agencies at different stages of implementation, and described the repeatable process and tools created for use in future planning topics.
This webinar was based on NCHRP Research Report 1158: Developing Snapshots for Transportation Planning. Find the snapshots in NCHRP Web-Only Document 431: Snapshots of Planning Practices.
This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program.
