Airport operators are seeing expanded use of technology across their terminal concessions programs, reflecting concessionaires’ efforts to improve efficiency, a growing customer preference for e-commerce, and airports leveraging their own technologies to better manage commercial operations. TRB hosted a webinar on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Eastern that provided airport practitioners with a practical understanding of how to evaluate, select, and implement technology to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue generation in airport terminal concessions programs.
This webinar was based on ACRP Web-Only Document 66: Incorporating Technologies into Airport In-Terminal Concessions Programs: A Primer and ACRP Research Report 279: Framework and Tools for Incorporating Technologies into Airport In-Terminal Concessions Programs.
This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program.
The slides are available.
