TRID helps researchers locate solutions to problems, avoid duplication of work, save resources, and satisfies Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) requirements to consult TRB’s TRIS Databases to identify ongoing or previously completed research on a given topic. TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Eastern that explained why TRID is the single best place to start your transportation research. Attendees learned how to start with a broad or basic keyword search and learn to use the specific features to refine the results. Precision search tools were covered, and attendees can share or export the most relevant results they've identified.
