Agency engagement in automated vehicle deployments and greater national alignment in policy and regulations can improve safety, accessibility, and economic outcomes. TRB will host a webinar on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that will examine recent experiences from states advancing and deploying automated driving systems (ADS) and automated vehicle (AV) technologies, including how differences in policy, implementation, and regulatory frameworks influence innovation, pilot programs, and interstate collaboration. The session will also explore how varying approaches affect partnerships with industry and efforts to ensure compatibility across state lines.
This webinar is based on NCHRP Project 20-68, Domestic Scan 23-02: Recent Experiences in Advancing and Deploying Automated Vehicle Technologies.

Professional Development Hours
Professional engineers (PEs) who register and attend the entire webinar as an individual will be awarded 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs). TRB’s webinar program awards PDH credits only to the registered individual, and not to other members of a group that view the webinar together. To be eligible for the credits, individuals must remain signed in for the entire webinar, including for any question and answer session following the presentations.
