Airport parking is a critical amenity and a significant source of revenue for airports, especially as passenger volumes grow and competition increases. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Eastern that explored how online booking systems can allow customers to reserve and prepay for parking, improving convenience while helping airports better manage demand and enhance revenue. Presenters provided an overview of the benefits, costs, and implementation challenges associated with these systems, as well as considerations for airports evaluating whether to adopt them.
This webinar was based on ACRP Synthesis 140: Airport Parking Reservation Systems and Techniques.
This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program.
The slides are available.
