New York City’s congestion pricing program is offering one of the first real-world tests of a policy long discussed across the transportation field. Early data and outcomes are providing valuable insights into how congestion pricing can reduce traffic and generate revenue for transit investments. TRB will host a webinar on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that will provide an overview of New York City's congestion pricing program, including how it was developed, modeled, and implemented. This webinar will highlight impacts on vehicle traffic in and around the congestion relief zone and how program revenues are supporting mass transit capital projects. Presenters will discuss the modeling tools and key variables used to forecast outcomes and compare projections with real-world results more than a year after implementation.
This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s Standing Technical Committee on Economics, Finance and Investment Strategy.
The registration fee is $100. Purchase a webinar package for discounted pricing. Complimentary registration is available for employees of TRB sponsors, standing technical committee chairs, involved CRP panel members, media, congressional staff, and TRB or National Academies staff. Visit MyTRB.org for details.
A recording will be sent to all registrants after the webinar.
