TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that introduced practical AI concepts for transportation construction management including generative AI, large language models, machine learning, and human-in-the-loop decision-making. Presenters discussed what AI can and cannot do, how professional responsibility is maintained, and how owners, consultants, contractors, and technology providers can approach AI adoption without overreliance or misuse. Attendees left with a clearer understanding of how to begin evaluating AI in their own construction management context.
