Accurate construction engineering and inspection (CEI) ensures the quality, safety, and long-term performance of bridge infrastructure. Workforce turnover and increasingly complex projects make effective training programs critical to preparing inspectors to perform their roles consistently and effectively. TRB will host a webinar on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that will examine current CEI training practices used by departments of transportation (DOTs), contractors, and consultants, and explore challenges that affect workforce readiness, consistency, and performance. Presenters will highlight priority training topics and recommended strategies for developing, enhancing, and implementing effective training programs across the transportation industry.
This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s Standing Technical Committee on Concrete Bridges and Structures.
The registration fee is $100. Purchase a webinar package for discounted pricing. Complimentary registration is available for employees of TRB sponsors, standing technical committee chairs, involved CRP panel members, media, congressional staff, and TRB or National Academies staff. A recording will be sent to all registrants after the webinar.
