Emerging ground access technologies, including connected, automated, and electric vehicles, are changing how airports plan for landside operations and passenger access. Airports must navigate these technologies while balancing capacity, travel time, passenger experience, accessibility, costs, sustainability, and resilience. TRB will host a webinar on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that will explore strategies for integrating emerging mobility technologies into airport landside planning and enhancing airport access. Presenters will discuss current airport access issues, considerations for connected and automated vehicles (CAV), and strategies and tools for developing landside facilities that leverage both legacy and emerging technologies.
